Negligent vet lets precious cat escape by leaving the door open, luckily owner finds her tucked away in a garden but considers changing vets

The white tabby is already a bit reluctant to go to the vet, so it doesn't help that the vet negligently leave the door open. 

She brought her cat to the vet because the cat had a suture sticking out from her incision and wanted to check it. She claims her cat is adorable "happy bun" at home, but at the vet she becomes angry. A usually cuddly cat turns enraged when she is in a medical atmosphere, and she especially doesn't like men (and the vet is a man). She brings her to the vet, and the vet brings her to the examination room but leaves the door open. An absolutely avoidable issue. She follows her cat, and hasn't started to panic yet, but then realizes that even the main door of the vet office is wide open. The office is right on a big district and main road, there are tons of cars going full speed. The cat runs out the door and that's when the owner starts to panic. She runs after the cat, and luckily finds her tucked away in a garden. 

She doesn't know what could have happened if the cat had run into the street or somewhere else. She questions whether to trust the current vet after this fiasco, and decides that maybe it's best to change vets.

  • It would be so terrifying to see your cat running outside like that. Once my cat ran away, but luckily my roommate found him. He was outside in an enclosed grass area behind some apartments right next to us. He was absolutely spooked, and there were some other cats around there. He's not used to being with other cats, so he was in full primal mode. His whole body was puffed up and his tail was sticking up too. He meowed and scratched as we tried to put him in his cage, and when we took him home he just hid under the beds for hours. Poor little baby. It's absolutely negligent for this vet to leave a door open.
